Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP) Exam
Nacha and the U.S. Faster Payments Council, in collaboration with our nation’s Payments Associations, formed an alliance in 2022 to create the Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP) program. This partnership demonstrates a cross-industry collaboration to benefit the entire payments ecosystem.
The AFPP builds on the FPP certificate program, offering a rigorous and centralized accreditation program allowing payments professionals to demonstrate their expertise across all faster payment types, including Same Day ACH, instant payments, and wire.
AFPP Exam Fees & Dates
AFPP exam registrations include a complimentary handbook to help you prepare. Nacha prefers online registration.
Registration for the 2027 AFPP examination opens on October 5, 2026.

Monday, Feb. 15 – Saturday, Mar. 13, 2027
Registration: Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 – Friday, Jan. 8, 2027

The AFPP Buddy Program
This mentoring program pairs aspiring AFPPs with a current AFPP who has volunteered their time to help guide the AFPP candidate throughout their study period. Get a buddy! January 1, 2027, is the deadline to sign up for a buddy for the 2027 AFPP exam.
